The questions are designed to highlight the benefits, and show the shortcomings of the different programs. Payment Questions:
What is their payment plan?
This question will answer the basic payment questions--Does it pay hourly, by the number of views, or some other way? How much do you get for your own usage, and how much do you get for your referrals?
Is there a maximum amount of referrals?
This question is very self-explanatory. Most programs do not have a maximum referral quantity. What this means is that there is no limit to the amount of money you can earn through your referrals.
Is there a maximum amount of payable hours?
Most of the programs have a maximum number hours that you can view the ads and get paid. This question will let you know if there is such a limit.
How do I get paid?
This question will tell you how often you get paid, what type of payment it is (check, etc.), if there is any processing charge, and if there is a minimum check amount.

Getting Started:
How difficult is the signup process?
This question addresses the actual form that you have to fill out to sign up. It will let you know how difficult it is to use.
What personal information do I have to give to sign up?
This goes hand in hand with the previous question. It will give you the actual information that will be required to sign up.
Can I download the software and start making money immediately?
Several of the companies have a waiting period before you can download their software, and begin making money. This question will tell you which companies do this. With all of the companies, you can begin making referrals immediately.
Do they provide any tools to help me with referrals?
Most of the companies provide some tools, such as banner ads and personalized emails, that you can use to attract referrals. This question will describe any such tools, if there are any.

Software Questions:
How large is the software download?
This will tell you the actual download size (i.e. 4 mg) of the installation program.
How big is the ad display on the screen?
This refers to the actual size of the display, and how intrusive it is to using the computer.
Can I reposition the ad display on my screen?
This question is pretty self-explanatory. This will tell you is you can move the display around on the screen, or if it is stationary.
Is the software available for systems not running Windows (i.e. Mac)?
Again, pretty self-explanatory. This will tell you if the software is available for other operating systems, and if so, which ones.
Can I customize the software?
This will let you know if you can modify the software in any way to fit your personal preferences.
Can I use this software at the same time I am using another "Paid to Surf" companies software?
This question is very important, because if you can use more than one program at once, you could be making twice as much money. This will tell you if you can do this.
Are there any additional features of the software?
Some of the software has additional functionality, like one-click opening and closing, and control over which ads you can see.

Other Questions:
Do I have to be browsing the internet to make money, or does it work when programs other than my web browser are running?
Most of the programs can only be used when actively browsing the internet, but some can be used while doing other things. This question will tell you the particular usage requirements.
Do I have to click on the ads, or buy anything?
This question will tell you if you have any responsibility to click on any of the ads you see. I haven't come across one like this yet.
Can I use the service on more than one computer?
If you want to be able to make money from both home and work, this question will tell you.
Can I view my account information (hours logged, current accrued amount, etc.) on their website?
Most of the companies let you login to their site and view your current usage statistics, as well as view and change your name and address information.
Can I change my account information?
This question will tell you if you can change any of your information, like name and address information.
Are there any special rules I should know about?
Most of the programs require that you follow some basic rules. This question will detail these rules for you.
Is the service available to international users?
This question will tell you if you can use the program in countries other than the United States.
Does the company offer any other programs?
Several of the companies have other programs and offers. This question will tell you about them.
