DotAd.com pays members to view ads, while you use your computer . Their software, named Harry, is a blue smiley face. Harry will pop up every five minutes with an ad that will display for 15 seconds. You make money while you are connected to the internet for every ad that you view. You can make more money through their referral program which pays your for referrals up to six levels deep.

What is their payment plan?
- DotAd splits the total revenue earned through advertising with their members. You get 75% of the revenue earned from your usage. You will also make an additional 5% for your direct referrals, 4% for second level referrals, 2% each for third and fourth level referrals, and 1% for fifth and sixth level referrals.
Is there a maximum amount of referrals?
- There is no limit to the number of referrals you can have.
Is there a maximum amount of payable hours?
- No. As long as you are actively using your computer while connected to the internet, with Harry open, you are making money.
How do I get paid?
- You are paid by check bi-monthly when your account exceeds $50. Any unpaid amount is automatically carried forward.

How difficult is the signup process?
- It is very simple. Just click on the "Join Now" button on their website, and supply name and address information, as well as a password.
What personal information do I have to give to sign up?
- You only have to provide name and address information.
Can I download the software and start making money immediately?
- No. There is a 6-8 week waiting period.
Do they provide any tools to help me with referrals?
- Yes. They provide tailored emails that you can send to your friends, as well as a webmaster page that has banners that you can place on your website.

How big is the software download?
- I emailed DotAd with this question, and they told me that Harry was still in development, but that the download would be no more that 5 megabytes.
How large is the ad display on the screen?
- Harry is very small. At only about 1 inch high and 2 inches wide, it is one of the least intrusive that I've reviewed.
Can I reposition the ad display on my screen?
- No, Harry is positioned in the upper right corner of the screen.
Is the software available for systems not running Windows (i.e. Mac)?
- Currently only a Windows version is available, but they are developing a Mac and a Linux version.
Can I customize the software?
- No.
Can I use this software at the same time I am using another "Paid to Surf" companies software?
- Yes. Since you don't actually have to be browsing (you only have to be connected to the internet) to use Harry, you can use it with other programs.
Are there any additional features of the software?
- You can turn it off with a single click.

- No, you only have to be connected to the internet and using Harry, to make money.
Do I have to click on the ads, or buy anything?
- No. You are paid only for viewing the ads.
Can I use the service on more than one computer?
- Yes, you can use the service on any computer, but you can only have one account. Also, one computer can only have one account on it.
Can I view my account information (hours logged, current accrued amount, etc.) on their website?
- Yes, through their website, you can view and change your name and address information, as well as view detailed statistics about the number of referrals you have on each level. You can also access financial information, such as amount due to you now, balance from last month, total earned since joining, and more.
Can I change my account information?
- Yes, through their website, you can change your name and address information.
Are there any special rules I should know about?
- You can sign up only once. One computer can only have one account. One account per email address. You can have one account loaded on two computers, but it can only be active on one at a time. No spamming. Any spammer caught will lose their membership (which is pretty cool, if you ask me). You cannot just connect to the internet, and walk away from your computer and get paid. You must be actively using your computer, while connected to the internet with the software open, to get paid.
Is the service available to international users?
- Currently, Harry is only offered to residents of the US, Canada, UK, and European Union countries. However anyone else, can sign up and begin referring people. Once it becomes available in your country you will be notified.
Does the company offer any other programs?
- DotAd has several more programs in development, including a free email service where Harry alerts you when you have email, a service where you get paid to receive targeted emails, and an advanced version of Harry, that lets you earn money while working off-line.
